A graduate of MoPA in 2022, Sélim Lallaoui quickly made a name for himself on the international scene. His student film, La Diplomatie de l’Éclipse, achieved widespread acclaim, earning the Silver Medal at the Student Academy Awards and the prestigious Best in Show Award at SIGGRAPH. A path shaped by both technical mastery and artistic expression Buoyed by this early recognition, Sélim Lallaoui brought his talent to some of the leading French animation studios from summer 2022 to 2025. This period allowed him to sharpen both his narrative imagination and his technical expertise. Gifted in painting and equally at ease with the intricacies of 3D, Sélim bridges artistic sensibility with technical precision. Today, Sélim Lallaoui takes a decisive step by partnering with Wizz to produce his first short film, Above the Sea. A project that firmly establishes him as a rising talent to watch on the global animation scene.
